Get to know Asfa Y Shad
Background
Board certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology, Dr. Asfa Shad attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA, and completed her fellowship in neurophysiology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. Dr. Shad specializes in the diagnosis and management of neurologic conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, neuropathy, stroke, epilepsy, and dementia, with a special interest in headaches. Dr. Shad is skilled in administering Botox® treatments for headaches and performing occipital nerve block procedures.
Dr. Shad has authored several published journal articles and volunteered for medical relief programs in Pennsylvania and Pakistan. Fluent in Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi, Dr. Shad enjoys traveling, participating in snow sports activities, and spending time with her family.

I strive to create a caring and compassionate atmosphere for my patients, while remaining committed to improving their quality of life by optimizing the best evidence-based treatments available for their condition. Taking the time to educate my patients on their condition and treatment options is essential to helping them feel invested in their care. I believe everyone should have access to quality health care, and actively participate in philanthropic medical volunteering and outreach programs. My focus is on building strong relationships with my patients and providing the community with comprehensive neurologic care.
