Background

I decided to pursue a career in medicine in order to have a positive impact on other people’s lives and gain the privilege of developing relationships with them. I chose my specialty of pulmonary disease and critical care medicine because it offers the opportunity to encounter a variety of disease processes from acute to chronic conditions. With the constant emergence of new data and literature, I am continually integrated in the process of learning while providing evidence-based care for patients throughout different stages of their lives.
