Trinity Bariatric & General Surgery, part of a local physician practice network, is pleased to announce Keith Zuccala, MD, FACS, has joined its Cheektowaga office at 2625 Harlem Rd., Suite 240, in the Caritas Medical Arts Building next to Sisters of Charity Hospital, St. Joseph Campus.
Board certified in General Surgery, Dr. Zuccala specializes in bariatric (weight loss) surgery, including gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and revisions; and general and minimally invasive surgery for hernias, gastroesophageal reflux, stomach and bowel conditions, and gallbladder liver, spleen, and pancreatic diseases.
Dr. Zuccala earned his medical degree from the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He completed his general surgery residency at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio, and a fellowship in endoscopic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Prior to joining Trinity Medical, Dr. Zuccala was Chief of General Surgery and Director of Bariatric Surgery at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut; and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Vermont, College of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, and Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons.
